Bridget Dolkas, violinist, is a native San Diegan. She is Principal Second Violin of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. She is a tenured member of the San Diego Opera Orchestra, and performs full-time with the San Diego Symphony. She earned her B.M. degree at the University of Southern California, studying with Alice Schoenfeld. There she received the prestigious Chamber Music Award, presented at graduation. Ms. Dolkas continued her studies with Isaac Malkin, completing a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music in New York. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles, as a student of Mark Kaplan. Ms. Dolkas has performed with La Jolla Summerfest and has been on the faculty of Mark O'Connor's String Conference in Point Loma, CA, for the past three summers.
